Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive / Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager Purchase to manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services for our manufacturing and project operations. This role focuses on vendor development, negotiation, cost optimization, and ensuring timely procurement to support smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for raw materials, BOM (Electrical & Mechanical), consumables, and services.
• Issue enquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Release purchase orders (POs) as per project and production requirements.
• Ensure on-time procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with stores, accounts, design, and production teams for material requirements.
• Maintain accurate records: supplier database, price history, and purchase data.
• Track material deliveries, follow up for pending orders, and resolve discrepancies.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
• Work continuously on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of procurement in manufacturing / automation / engineering industries.
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Understanding of taxation, GST, import/export terms (if applicable).
• Proficiency in MS Excel & ERP systems (SAP/Tally/other).
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

Qualification & Experience

• Education: Diploma / B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) OR Graduate with specialization in Supply Chain / Material Management/Good Experience
• Experience Levels:
• Purchase Executive: 3 years
• Sr. Purchase Executive: 3 to 7 years
• Asst. Manager Purchase: 8+ years
