About this role
Roles and responsibilities
1) Work on PR to PO conversion for Raw materials, Spares and Capex equipments / machines requirement from Plants
2) Send RFQ to Suppliers for respective items, achieve cost reduction by negotiation with suppliers, alternate source development. Follow up for on time material delivery with Local as well as Global Suppliers
3) Resolve supplier payment issues, improve business relations with strategic suppliers, Supplier capacity assessment, planning and enhancement based on requirements. Conflict management in case of escalations from suppliers or Plant
4) Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.
5) Secure Procurement compliances with Internal company Process, policies
6) Supplier Market Analysis
Preferred Competencies:
1. Strong understanding of Procurement & Supply Chain
2. Knowledge of Global & local Supplier base for raw materials, spares & machinery for Mining Industry
3. Familiarity with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), or other analytics/reporting tools.
4. Skilled in contingency planning and root cause analysis and ability to act quickly during material shortages, supply disruptions, or quality failures.
5. Knowledge of import regulations, HS codes, customs clearance processes, and shipping documentation.
Education Qualifications:
1. Should be BE - Mechanical Engg. / Industrial Engg qualified
2. Preferred to have a Certificate in Ceramic Materials or Diploma in Ceramic Technology.
