Executive- Plant Maintenance

Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Attend and troubleshoot machine breakdowns during assigned shifts to minimize downtime.
• Act as the Shift In-Charge, ensuring effective execution of all maintenance activities.
• Ensure timely response, escalation, and resolution of breakdowns to control MTTR.
• Manage utility systems (compressors, DG sets, electrical panels, HVAC, water systems, etc.) to ensure continuous plant operations.
• Act as the single point of contact during the shift for maintenance coordination and decision-making.
• Ensure effective shift handover, including proper documentation, reporting, and communication.
• Maintain breakdown reports, downtime records, and maintenance logs for analysis and audit readiness.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support preventive and predictive maintenance as per defined schedules.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of plant machinery.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory compliance, and maintenance SOPs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth plant operations and minimal production loss.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM, 5S, and Kaizen.

Competencies / Functional & Technical Skills

Technical Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical /electrical systems
• Basic understanding of PLC / HMI systems and troubleshooting
• Exposure to SPM (Special Purpose Machines) / manufacturing equipment
• Understanding of plant utilities and maintenance practices

Qualication

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Work Experience

4-7 years in manufacturing / SPM / maintenance / automation services
