Executive- Packaging Development

Role & responsibilities:

• Artwork Development

Develop and manage artwork for printed packaging material intended for the domestic and global markets (US, UK & ROW), ensuring compliance with regional regulatory and labelling requirements.

• Digital Print Proofing & Shade Card Approval

Review and approve digital print proofs and shade cards for printed packaging material, ensuring colour, text, and layout accuracy prior to production release.

• Printed Packaging Material Specifications

Prepare detailed specifications for printed packaging materials in line with product and client requirements.

• Bill of Materials (BOM) Preparation

Prepare and maintain accurate BOMs for packaging materials to support planning, procurement, and production activities.

• Code Creation

Create and manage material/item codes for new packaging components in the system (SAP).

• GMP Compliance activity

Ensure GMP compliance within the Packaging Development Department, including preparation of Change Controls (CC), SOPs, and other quality documentation.

• CDMO Project Support

Execute packaging development activities for CDMO projects, in line with client specifications and timelines.

• Packaging Configuration Evaluation

Evaluate and recommend suitable packaging configurations based on product characteristics, stability requirements, and market needs.

• New Pack Development

Develop new packaging designs and configurations in line with marketing initiatives and specific client requirements.

• Client & Vendor Coordination

Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure timely completion of packaging development activities, resolving issues and tracking progress against project timelines.

• Requirement:
• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in packaging development within the pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical industry, including exposure to regulated markets (US, UK & ROW).
• Prior experience with CDMO packaging development projects will be an added advantage.
