Executive - Legal

Role & responsibilities

Contract Review and Negotiation:

1. Review, draft and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, employment contracts, agreements with healthcare professionals and agreements / MOU with corporates etc.

2. Ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements and protect the hospital's interests.

Risk Management:

1. Identify and assess legal risks associated with hospital operations.

2. Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks and implement risk management programs.

Patient Rights and Advocacy:

1. Provide legal support related to patient rights and privacy.

2. Assist in addressing legal issues related to patient care, informed consent, medical decision-making and address patient complaint.

Litigation Support:

1. Assist in the management of legal disputes and litigation involving the hospital.

2. Work with external legal counsel when necessary and provide support during legal proceedings.

Policy Development:

1. Contribute to the development and review of hospital policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

2. Provide legal guidance on the interpretation and implementation of policies.

Collaboration with other Departments:

1. Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources, compliance etc. and risk management to address legal issues and promote a culture of legal compliance.

Communication:

1. Communicate legal advice and information clearly to hospital management, staff and external stakeholders.

2. Work with a team of legal professionals and collaborate with other departments as needed.
