Job Purpose

The Executive – Internal Audit at Pathways School Noida plays a critical role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the institution's internal risk management, control systems, and governance processes. The incumbent will review and audit operational and financial workflows across various school departments to ensure policy compliance, mitigate systemic leakages, and identify cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Execute risk-based audits spanning multiple departments including Accounts & Finance, Procurement/Purchase, Stores/Inventory, HR/Personnel, Administration, and Boarding facilities.
• Assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and consistency of existing internal control frameworks and report deviations from established operating procedures.
• Inspect school physical inventories, capital assets, and ERP stock data to verify alignment with real-time assets.
• Review direct and indirect school expenditures to flag discrepancies, negligence, or operational losses, proactively suggesting cost-reduction measures.
• Examine transaction accuracy, bank ledger reconciliations, tax compliance (GST, TDS), and statutory filings.
• Audit vendor master data, procurement logs, and the end-to-end procurement-to-payment cycle for transparency.
• Prepare objective, data-driven internal audit reports and actionable Management Information System (MIS) summaries detailing risk exposures and mitigation steps.
• Leverage advanced ERP systems and data analytics tools to query financial information, track operational trends, and identify anomalies.
• Assist external statutory auditors during annual cycles by preparing structural control sheets and clear supporting evidence.

Role Specifications & Qualifications

• Education: Graduate degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com), or a Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter)
• Experience: Fresher
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in data analytics utilizing Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros).
• Strong foundational knowledge of Indian accounting standards, internal financial controls (IFC), and local taxation law.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; high ethical integrity; and a critical thinking mindset necessary to address operational challenges constructively.
