Executive Internal Audit For Oil & Gas Company In Nigeria

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct physical stock verification at warehouses, stores, and other company locations.
• Perform Stock Audit, Warehouse Audit, and Inventory Audit.
• Reconcile physical inventory with ERP/SAP/system records and investigate variances.
• Identify and report shortages, excess stock, damaged, obsolete, slow-moving, and surplus materials.
• Audit inward and outward material movements, GRNs, delivery documents, stock transfers, and adjustments.
• Review warehouse processes and ensure compliance with SOPs and internal controls.
• Conduct periodic, cycle-count, surprise, and year-end stock audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes, control weaknesses, and potential pilferage/fraud risks.
• Prepare detailed Internal Audit Reports with findings, risks, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Follow up on audit observations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Stores, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Prepare audit summaries, MIS reports, and management presentations

Preferred candidate profile

B.Com / M.Com

• ICWA / CMA
• MBA Finance / Accounting
• Good knowledge of inventory controls, warehouse processes, reconciliation, and audit procedures.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Stock Audit, Inventory Audit, or Warehouse Audit.
• Strong hands-on experience in physical stock verification and warehouse audits is mandatory.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / Energy / Manufacturing / Engineering / Logistics industries preferred.
