Job Purpose

HR Operations & Payroll Manager plays a crucial role in managing the operational backbone of the HR department. By ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance, and optimizing HR processes, this role contributes to the organization's success by supporting employee satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and efficient HR operations and payroll.

Job Context & Major Challenges:

This role is to oversee and manage the operational aspects of the Human Resources department with a specific focus on payroll administration. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of HR processes, particularly related to payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee data management. By providing hands-on support, the HR Operations & Payroll Manager contributes to the overall effectiveness of the organization's HR function and enhances the employee experience. The role cuts across all LOBs in ABC.

Major Challenges:

Technology Integration - Integrating various LOB requirements for payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRMS requires careful planning and coordination. Ensuring seamless data flow and troubleshooting technical issues can be demanding.
Change Management - Introducing new systems or process changes can meet resistance from LOBs who are accustomed to the already existing ways.
Cross Functional Collaboration - Working collaboratively with finance, legal, IT, and other departments can be challenging, as priorities and perspectives might differ.
Process Standardisation Aligning all LOBs especially because of the diverse departments and job roles across the board can be challenging.
