Overall Functional Scope

Candidate will be responsible for independently handling Direct tax compliances of the Group Companies relating to TDS, TCS and other routine compliances under Income Tax Law

Reporting To

Manager Taxation

Responsibilities

• Independently handling all the applicable compliances prescribed under the Income tax Law such as TDS, TCS, With holding tax u/s 195, SFT compliances
• Responding to routine ad hoc queries from Finance (all taxes except payroll taxes) and liaising with external advisors and consultants wherever required.
• Meeting tax officers and providing information/clarifications during assessment/re-assessment proceedings.
• Improve processes by developing/implementing best tax practices.
• Advising management on opportunities for tax saving and taking suitable steps in this regard
• Identification of potential tax issues relating to taxes and devising action plan to mitigate the risks.
• Support in closing Stat audit, Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing Audit such as TDS reasonability, tax schedules, etc.
• Timely Issue of TDS certificates to vendors, etc.
• Preparation and filing of TDS/TCS returns, filing correction statements
• Issue of 15CA/CB certificates, etc.
• Any other related work
