About this role
- Responsibilities
- You are responsible for managing sourcing activities, including tendering processes, bid evaluations, negotiations (including e-auctions), contract drafting, and supplier management for indirect procurement categories (primarily facility management services, general equipment and supplies, as well as journal and database subscriptions).
- You prepare and independently negotiate framework agreements with strategic suppliers.
- You prepare commercial bid comparisons and award recommendations in close cooperation with the requesting business departments.
- You manage and maintain purchase orders, contract amendments, framework agreements, and supplier master data in SAP SRM and SAP MM.
- You actively contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- You identify and realize cost-saving opportunities.
- You conduct demand and benchmark analyses.
- You identify potential e-catalog opportunities and drive the development of key suppliers and framework agreements.
- You support process and change management initiatives as well as special projects.
- Qualifications
- You hold a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in indirect procurement within an international purchasing environment would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of contract law as well as proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications and SAP MM is required; experience with SAP SRM is an advantage.
- Fluent business-level English and German skills.
