Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to support Australia payroll operations by managing upstream HR and payroll activities, ensuring accurate employee data administration, and coordinating closely with the payroll vendor (ADP). The role will be responsible for validating payroll inputs, supporting payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Australian payroll regulations, and providing high-quality payroll support to employees and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5-6 years of experience in Australia payroll operations. reconciliation and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
• Experience working with ADP payroll solutions, Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy levels.
• Knowledge of SuccessFactors, Workday, or other HRIS platforms.
• Exposure to payroll audits, compliance reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing payroll vendor relationships and SLA governance.

Key Responsibilities

HR & Payroll Upstream Activities

• Manage end-to-end payroll input activities including new hires, terminations, employee transfers, promotions, salary revisions, allowances, deductions, and leave updates.
• Maintain accurate employee master data in HR and payroll systems.
• Review and validate payroll inputs before submission to the payroll vendor.
• Ensure timely processing of employee data changes and payroll transactions.

Payroll Vendor Management (ADP)

• Act as the primary point of contact for the ADP payroll processing team.
• Coordinate payroll schedules and ensure payroll deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
• Review payroll reports received from ADP and verify payroll calculations.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, exceptions, and employee queries.
• Support payroll audits and vendor performance reviews.

Payroll Validation & Compliance

• Perform detailed payroll reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate calculation of earnings, deductions, superannuation, taxes, and other statutory payments.
• Validate payroll outputs to ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and company policies.
• Support month-end and year-end payroll activities, including STP reporting and payroll reconciliations.

Employee & Stakeholder Support

• Respond to employee payroll-related queries within defined SLAs.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to resolve payroll issues.
• Provide guidance on payroll policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare payroll metrics, dashboards, and periodic reports.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Support payroll process documentation and SOP maintenance.
• Participate in payroll transformation and automation initiatives.
