Experience

We are seeking a skilled Live Production Control Room (PCR) Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring live feeds from the field, performing real-time post-production tasks, and ensuring seamless live streaming. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and professionalism of our live broadcasts, ensuring that all elements are perfectly synchronized before going live.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Live Feed Monitoring
2. Constantly monitor live feeds from field correspondents and cameras to ensure high-quality video and audio.
3. Real-Time Post-Production
4. Use professional software to add overlays, tickers, logos, date/time stamps, background scores, and other necessary visual/audio elements to the live feed.
5. Content Censorship
6. Apply censorship when necessary by muting audio, blurring visuals, or using placeholders toensure compliance with broadcasting standards.
7. Signal Management
8. Quickly respond to and manage any signal loss or feed disruption by switching to alternative content or adding placeholders until the live feed is restored.
9. Technical Coordination
10. Collaborate with field teams, technical staff, and other production units to ensure smooth and efficient live broadcasts.
11. Software Proficiency
12. Operate live production software such as vMix, Wirecast, OBS Studio, and other relevant tools for live post-production and streaming.
13. Quality Control
14. Ensure that all content meets our high standards for broadcast quality before it is streamed live on various platforms.

Preferred Skills:

1. Additional Technical Knowledge
2. Knowledge of audio mixing and video encoding.
3. Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, After Effects) for creating custom overlays and graphics.
4. Experience -Previous experience in a news channel or live event production.
5. Working Conditions:
6. Availability - Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the live broadcast schedule.
7. Work Environment - Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
8. Experience - Minimum of 2-3 years in live production control or a similar role within a broadcast environment.
9. Technical Skills
10. Proficiency in live production and streaming software (e.g., vMix, Wirecast, OBS Studio).
11. Familiarity with video editing tools and an understanding of broadcasting standards.
12. Attention to Detail - Keen eye for detail to ensure all elements are perfectly aligned during live post-production.
13. Problem-Solving - Ability to think quickly and make real-time decisions under pressure.
14. Communication Skills - Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate live broadcasts.
15. Adaptability - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
