About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Team Leader Agency Channel to manage, monitor, and drive business performance through a team of sales professionals.

The role will focus on team management, business monitoring, sales strategy, performance tracking, and achievement of business objectives across Motor, Health, and SME Insurance products.

This is a team-handling role with no individual sales targets. The candidate will be responsible for driving business through the team and ensuring consistent productivity and revenue generation.

Location: Mumbai Andheri (E) (Work from office)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, motivate, and guide a team of sales professionals to achieve monthly and annual business objectives.
• Monitor and drive business through the Agency Channel / POSP network across Motor, Health, and SME Insurance products.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase business volumes, productivity, and market penetration.
• Monitor team performance through regular tracking of KPIs, business targets, conversion ratios, productivity, and revenue.
• Conduct regular team reviews and provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to improve individual and overall team productivity.
• Identify gaps in team performance and implement corrective action plans to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Ensure consistent activation and engagement of POSPs/agents and support the team in generating business through the network.
• Work closely with internal teams such as Operations, Product, Training, and Support to ensure smooth business processes.
• Analyse sales reports and MIS to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
• Ensure adherence to company processes, sales practices, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Build a positive, performance-driven team culture and maintain high levels of employee engagement and retention.

Key Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Sales or Marketing will be an added advantage.
• 59 years of experience in sales, preferably with team-handling / sales supervisory experience.
• Candidates with experience managing sales professionals, Agency Channel, POSPs, agents, or field sales teams will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of sales processes and team performance management.
• Experience in Insurance / BFSI will be an advantage.
• Should have strong communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse sales performance and take data-driven corrective actions.
• Strong ownership and ability to work in a target-oriented business environment.
