ETL Testing Engineer

We are looking for a skilled ETL Test Engineer to validate and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data moving from multiple source systems to target databases, data warehouses, and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL, data validation, and data warehouse concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and data requirements for ETL and data migration projects.
• Develop and execute ETL test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Validate source-to-target data mappings and transformation rules.
• Perform data quality, data integrity, and data reconciliation testing.
• Execute end-to-end testing of ETL workflows and data pipelines.
• Validate data loading processes in data warehouses and data lakes.
• Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with ETL developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Generate test reports, quality metrics, and test execution summaries.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and data quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of ETL/data warehouse testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required Technical Skills:

• ETL and Data Testing: Strong experience in ETL testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), DataStage, and AWS Glue (preferred).
• Database Skills: Strong SQL querying and database validation skills. Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
• Data Warehouse Concepts: Star Schema and Snowflake Schema, Fact and Dimension Tables, Data Marts, OLAP Concepts, and Data Modeling.
• Big Data (Preferred): Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Automation Skills (Preferred): Selenium (for reporting validation), Python, Shell Scripting, ETL Test Automation Frameworks.
• Key Testing Activities: Source-to-Target Validation, Data Completeness Testing, Data Transformation Testing, Data Integrity Testing, Data Migration Testing, Data Reconciliation Testing, Incremental Load Testing, Performance and Volume Testing, Data Accuracy Validation, and Report and Dashboard Testing.
• Preferred Certifications: ISTQB Certification, Informatica Certification, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate, Snowflake SnowPro Certification, AWS Certified Data Analytics.
