ETL Tester Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled ETL Tester with strong experience in ETL Testing, SQL, API Testing, and Manual Testing. The ideal candidate should have worked extensively in product-based companies and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, testing APIs, and maintaining data quality across enterprise applications.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in ETL Testing
• Excellent SQL skills with complex query writing and data validation
• Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
• Strong exposure to Manual Testing
• Experience in Data Warehouse Testing
• Good understanding of ETL tools and data integration concepts
• Experience in validating data mappings, transformations, and business rules
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC
• Experience working in Product-Based Companies is mandatory
• Defect tracking using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools

Key Responsibilities

• Validate ETL workflows, data transformations, and loading processes.
• Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Perform source-to-target data validation.
• Validate large datasets using complex SQL queries.
• Conduct API testing to verify functionality, performance, and data integrity.
• Identify, log, and track defects through closure.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality.
• Work closely with Developers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Teams.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide test estimates.
• Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Automation Testing (Selenium, Rest Assured, or similar tools)
• Exposure to Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or similar data platforms
• Basic knowledge of Python scripting

Preferred Background

• Experience working in Product-Based Organizations
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience testing large-scale data integration projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
