SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
* Five or more years relevant estimating experience construction, interior fitout, joinery, metalwork, cladding,
facade, electrical or signage.
* Accurate take-offs from 2D drawings and written specifications.
* Rate build-ups, and comparison of subcontractor and supplier quotations.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel. Tested at interview.
* A PDF measurement or take-off tool Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Cubit, CostX or comparable.
* High standard of written English. Able to write a clear RFI, assumption note and escalation without rewriting.
* Demonstrated remote delivery to an overseas client team.
* Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, architecture, or interior or
industrial design; or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Preferred
* Pricing for an Australian, UK, US or Gulf client base.
* Signage, wayfinding, shopfitting or retail rollout work.
* Estimating inside a manufacturing company rather than a consultancy.
* Experience submitting priced work directly to a client, with the judgement that goes with it.
* RICS, AIQS or IIQS membership.
