Estimation Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

2. JOB PURPOSE:To study, research, analyse and complete estimation process by taking into consideration all the commercial and regional aspects and succeed in the contract document in order to secure profitable business for the Company. To accurately understand, manage, price and report on MEP Scope.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:Description

1. Initial review of resource requirement budget/quantity estimations; risks; special conditions and the like in accordance with procedure set out in the company.
2. Contract document review / IFC document review in conjunction with the commercial and planning department.
3. Responsible for Tender preparation from start to finish, including presentation and subsequent submission to Main Contractor.
4. Assigning works / monitoring the staff immediately working under him.
5. On award of project, co-ordinate and conduct Handover meeting with the project team, providing details briefing of about the project.
6. Compiling resources and other tender analysis information and summaries for onward transfer to relevant project team members.
7. As necessary, provide support and respond to queries made by project team personnel with regards to pricing and contract condition.
8. Pricing change orders / VOs if required.
9. Perform all activities in compliance with the Company Health, Safety & Environmental Management System and Quality System.
10. Ensure estimation team is following DEWA/FEWA/ADDC/NFPA/UAE Fire Safety Code/ASHREA/BS Standards.
11. Participate in internal audits and ensure any finding to be closed within the stipulated time frame.
12. Prepare Queries/clarifications to Clients/Consultants.
13. Consult and evaluation quotations with Clients/customers, vendors, official of other departments and/or site foremen and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
14. Prepare budget sheets on award jobs for the execution team (Purchase/procurement & Project team).
15. Responsible to prepare reports/status for all running projects where EM involved.
16. Responsible to update the tender submission to Main Contractor progress to Vice President on weekly basis.
17. Responsible to prepare technical submittal as per project requirement as and when required.
18. Responsible to coordinate with Consultant for Technical submittal approval
19. Responsible to communicate/coordinate with Procurement Department after technical submittal approval.
20. Any other additional works as and when required as advised by Vice President.

7. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMinimum Qualifications:

BE in Electrical / Mechanical
Minimum Experience:

At least 15+ Years of relevant estimating along with site based experience. Knowledge of the use of First Principles Estimating is essential. Sound working knowledge in MS Office (Knowledge of estimation software is a plus)
