JOB TITLE - Head Estimation

ROLE

Proposal function for EPC projects across Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Industrial sectors. The incumbent will oversee techno-commercial estimation, bid preparation, cost analysis, proposal strategy, risk assessment, and coordination with engineering, procurement, project management, and business development teams to ensure competitive and accurate project bids.

DUTIES &

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the complete estimation and proposal activities for EPC projects from bid receipt to submission.
  • Review RFQs, tender documents, specifications, BOQs, and commercial requirements.
  • Develop detailed project cost estimates covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Process, Instrumentation, and Procurement teams for inputs and cost optimization.
  • Conduct bid risk analysis, value engineering, and benchmarking exercises.
  • Lead client clarifications, technical discussions, and pre-bid meetings.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and competitiveness of techno-commercial proposals.
  • Establish estimation procedures, databases, costing standards, and productivity norms.
  • Mentor and develop the estimation team while driving continuous process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

MINIMUM

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1517 years of experience in Estimation, Proposal Engineering, Tendering, and Costing within EPC organizations handling Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Industrial projects.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Experience in leading estimation teams for large-value EPC projects. Exposure to lump-sum turnkey (LSTK), EPCM, Brownfield and Greenfield projects. Experience with international bidding and multi-discipline project estimation will be preferred.

Target Candidate Profile: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical (Preferred) or Electrical professional with 1517 years of experience in Estimation, Proposal Engineering, and EPC Tendering for Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Industrial projects, having strong expertise in techno-commercial bidding, project costing, risk assessment, and team leadership.
