ERPNext Testing Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with hands-on ERPNext testing experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of ERP Next implementations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ERP business processes, software testing methodologies, and the ability to independently manage QA activities across multiple ERP Next modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and End-to-End Testing for ERPNext applications.
• Design, prepare, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Validate ERPNext modules including Accounts, HRMS, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Projects.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking and test management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful production deployments.
• Verify workflows, user roles, permissions, reports, print formats, and custom ERPNext configurations.
• Ensure data accuracy, process integrity, and system performance across ERPNext implementations.
• Maintain detailed QA documentation, test execution reports, and defect metrics.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on QA experience in ERPNext (Mandatory).
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and UAT Testing.
• Good understanding of ERP workflows and business processes.
• Strong expertise in creating test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality results within strict timelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing customized ERP Next implementations.
• Exposure to the Frappe Framework.
• Knowledge of API Testing and/or Test Automation tools is an added advantage.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Mandatory Criteria

• 2–3 years of relevant ERP Next QA experience
• Notice Period: Immediate Joiners or candidates serving up to 15 days notice only.
