Erection Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly erection/launching plans.
• Prepare span-wise launching and erection schedules.
• Plan manpower, cranes, launching equipment, tools, trailers, lifting accessories, and other resources.
• Coordinate with planning, design, QA/QC, safety, and subcontractor teams.
• Identify critical activities and constraints affecting project progress.
• Supervise erection of steel I-girders and structural steel members.
• Execute girder lifting using crawler/mobile cranes, launching girders, gantry systems, strand jacks, hydraulic jacks, winches, etc.
• Monitor girder alignment, elevation, level, camber, bearing position, and stability.
• Supervise girder assembly, splice connection, bolt installation, and tightening.
• Ensure proper lifting sequence and temporary stability arrangements.
• Coordinate launching operations between piers/abutments.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering having 7-10 years of experience.
• Hands-on execution experience on metro, flyover, and viaduct projects, preferably involving girder erection or launching under live traffic conditions.
