Role & responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research on automotive and auto-component companies and track industry trends.
• Analyze company financial statements, business performance, earnings, margins and growth prospects.
• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts and valuation models.
• Prepare equity research reports, sector updates, earnings notes and investment presentations.
• Track competitors, market developments, regulations, technology trends and key industry drivers.
• Develop investment views and communicate key insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Interact with company management, industry experts and other market participants as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7+ years of experience in Equity Research / Investment Research / Financial Research.
• Strong experience covering the Automotive and/or Auto Components sector.
• Excellent understanding of financial analysis and financial modelling.
• Hands-on experience with company valuation such as DCF, P/E, EV/EBITDA and comparable company analysis.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, earnings analysis and industry research.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and research/report-writing skills.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience interacting with senior management, investors or market participants.
