Role OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and market-oriented finance fresher to join our team as an Equity Dealing & Investment Operations Associate.
The role will primarily focus on equity dealing, trade execution, market monitoring and investment operations, with additional exposure to client coordination and business development.
This is an opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in equity markets, trading processes, portfolio operations and wealth management.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquity Dealing & Market Operations
- Assist in equity trade execution, order placement and dealing activities under supervision.
- Monitor live market movements, stock prices, volumes and relevant market developments.
- Track client orders and ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Coordinate with brokers and market intermediaries for trade-related requirements.
- Monitor corporate actions, dividends, bonus issues, splits and other market events.
- Maintain accurate records of trades, orders and transactions.
- Develop a strong practical understanding of equity markets and trading workflows.
Investment Operations
- Assist with trade confirmation, settlement and reconciliation processes.
- Track client portfolios, holdings, transactions and cash movements.
- Maintain accurate investment and client records.
- Support KYC, account opening, demat and documentation requirements.
- Prepare daily/periodic MIS, transaction and portfolio reports.
- Identify discrepancies in transactions or records and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Ensure operational processes are completed accurately within required timelines.
Client & Advisory Support
- Coordinate with clients regarding trade confirmations, documentation and operational queries.
- Assist senior team members with portfolio reviews and client requirements.
- Communicate basic market and transaction-related information professionally.
- Maintain regular follow-ups and ensure timely closure of client requests.
Sales & Client Acquisition — Supporting Role
- Assist in lead generation and client follow-ups.
- Support senior advisors in prospective client meetings.
- Maintain lead and prospect records.
- Develop an understanding of client requirements and investment needs.
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
- B.Com / BBA / BBM / MBA Finance preferred.
- Candidates pursuing CA / CFA will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of equity markets, stocks, trading and financial products.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in equity dealing, investment operations or wealth management.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
