About this role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Equipment Supply Manager based in United States.
This role provides end-to-end leadership for the delivery of critical equipment supporting a major advanced nuclear energy project. You will serve as the central point of accountability across engineering, procurement, quality, fabrication, testing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and licensing. The position combines technical leadership, project management, supply chain coordination, and stakeholder engagement across highly interdependent teams. You will establish execution strategies, manage delivery milestones, and ensure equipment is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role requires strong judgment to identify risks, resolve complex issues, and rapidly develop recovery plans when project performance changes. You will also help maintain rigorous quality, regulatory, and governance standards throughout the equipment lifecycle. This is an opportunity to influence the delivery of innovative nuclear technology while working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Accountabilities: Lead the overall execution strategy and delivery lifecycle for assigned plant equipment, coordinating engineering, procurement, quality, fabrication, testing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and licensing activities.
Define equipment requirements, goals, milestones, priorities, and delivery plans while maintaining alignment with broader project objectives.
Drive equipment delivery according to established cost and schedule commitments, monitor progress, and keep project leadership and key stakeholders informed.
Coordinate cross-functional reviews and ensure deliverables are completed on time, with work consistently prioritized according to schedule, risk, and project value.
Develop and implement recovery and get-well plans when cost, schedule, testing, or delivery issues arise, escalating critical challenges through clearly defined governance channels.
Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to develop equipment-specific sourcing strategies, support pre-RFP vendor engagement, track contracts, and oversee vendor performance and funding.
Coordinate testing programs by aligning funding, schedules, qualification activities, results, and accountability with equipment delivery requirements.
Work with fabrication oversight teams to manage vendors and coordinate witness and hold-point notifications at critical stages of production.
Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams to integrate equipment assembly, installation, inspection, documentation, materials, spare parts, and on-site testing requirements into delivery plans.
Partner with quality assurance and licensing teams to ensure equipment activities and documentation comply with applicable quality requirements, regulatory guidelines, nuclear codes, and industry standards.
Work with project management and project controls teams to maintain accurate cost and schedule forecasts while identifying emerging trends, risks, and dependencies.
Interface closely with product management to ensure equipment design, performance, and requirements remain aligned with product and project objectives.
Establish governance checkpoints, formal escalation protocols, prioritization reviews, and accountability mechanisms to support timely decision-making and effective risk mitigation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain, project management, project delivery, equipment delivery, or a closely related discipline.
Proven experience leading complex project scopes involving multiple teams, organizations, dependencies, and competing priorities.
Strong technical background with the ability to lead teams and make informed decisions across one or more areas of equipment delivery and project execution.
Experience using project management and scheduling tools such as Jira and Primavera P6.
Strong familiarity with nuclear industry codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME BPVC, ASME QME-1, NQA-1, IEEE standards, and related industry requirements.
Experience managing suppliers, vendors, procurement activities, testing programs, fabrication, construction interfaces, or commissioning activities is highly valuable.
PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, or comparable professional certification is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across organizational and functional boundaries.
Excellent conflict-resolution, prioritization, problem-solving, and escalation-management capabilities.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment where plans may need to change to meet project objectives.
Highly proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of complex problems through resolution.
Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, openness, and commitment to fostering effective teamwork.
Candidates must satisfy applicable qualification requirements under ANSI/ANS 3.1, including relevant education and nuclear industry experience where required, with information subject to verification.
