Equipment Draughtsman

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Draughtsman to prepare detailed engineering drawings and 2D/3D models for thermal system equipment, boilers, pressure parts, and associated mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D fabrication and manufacturing drawings for thermal equipment.
• Develop 3D models and assemblies of equipment and mechanical components.
• Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings, fabrication drawings and detail drawings.
• Prepare drawings for boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, ducts, piping supports and other thermal equipment.
• Create and modify drawings based on engineering/design requirements.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing-related documentation.
• Interpret engineering specifications, sketches and design calculations.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Fabrication and Quality teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Ensure drawings meet applicable engineering standards, tolerances and manufacturing requirements.
• Revise drawings based on design changes and maintain proper revision control.
• Support the engineering team during fabrication and manufacturing activities.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with SolidWorks / 3D CAD will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of GA drawings, assembly drawings, sectional views and BOM preparation.
• Ability to understand equipment layouts and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of boiler/thermal equipment drawings is preferred.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards is an advantage.
