Job Description EHS Officer

Location: Alandi, Pune

Job Overview:

We are looking for an EHS Officer to ensure a safe working environment by monitoring plant safety, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and supporting compliance with EHS procedures and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of EHS equipment, emergency systems, and safety facilities.
• Conduct regular Safety Rounds across the plant and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Monitor FOC/ETO operations and ensure adherence to prescribed safety procedures.
• Observe and monitor process safety during manufacturing operations.
• Identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety awareness programs, and emergency drills.
• Support investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain EHS inspection reports, checklists, incident records, and other safety documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, QA, and other departments for effective implementation of safety measures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable EHS policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: Any Graduate with ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) certification.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in EHS/Safety, preferably in API, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Manufacturing industries.
• Good knowledge of industrial safety, process safety, emergency response, work permits.
• Good communication, observation, coordination, and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of EHS documentation and statutory compliance.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Proactive approach towards workplace safety and risk prevention.
