Environmental Health and Safety Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards across the plant.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments (HIRA/JSA).
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to safety, health, and environment.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor environmental parameters such as dust emissions, ambient air quality, noise, and waste management.
• Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees and contractors.
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and ensure safe execution of high-risk activities.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, fire safety inspections, and mock drills.
• Maintain EHS records, reports, statutory documents, and audit compliance documentation.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure adherence to plant safety guidelines.
• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2+ years of EHS experience in Cement, Manufacturing, or Process Industry.
• Knowledge of Factories Act, Environmental Regulations, PTW, HIRA, Incident Investigation, and Safety Audits.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
