Enterprise Risk Management

To support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Banks Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework by identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting enterprise-wide risks. The role is responsible for ensuring effective risk governance, supporting regulatory compliance, facilitating risk assessments, monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and providing risk insights to enable informed business decisions while safeguarding the Bank’s risk appetite.

•      Support the implementation of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework in line with the Risk Appetite Framework.

•      Assist in identifying, assessing and monitoring enterprise-wide risks across business and support functions.

•      Support the preparation and periodic review of the Risk Appetite Statement and risk governance framework.

•      Participate in strategic risk assessments for new products, projects and business initiatives.

Contribute to the continuous enhancement of ERM methodologies, tools and processes.

•      Assist in drafting, reviewing and updating Enterprise Risk Management policies, frameworks and Standard Operating Procedures.

•      Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, Basel guidelines and internal governance standards.

•      Support implementation of risk assessment methodologies across business units.

•      Ensure timely review and documentation of ERM processes and controls.

Recommend process improvements to strengthen risk governance.

•      Partner with Business and Support Functions to provide enterprise risk advisory on strategic initiatives.

•      Conduct risk assessments for new products, business proposals and change initiatives.

•      Support business growth by facilitating informed risk-based decision making.

Promote awareness of enterprise risk management practices across the organization

•      Monitor enterprise risk indicators and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

•      Consolidate and analyse enterprise risk reports for senior management and Risk Committees.

•      Track risk mitigation plans and closure of identified issues.

•      Prepare dashboards, MIS and presentations for the Head ERM, CRO and Board Committees.

Escalate significant risks and breaches in accordance with the escalation framework.

•      Build effective working relationships with Business Units, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, Finance and Internal Audit.

•      Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate timely risk identification and mitigation.

•      Support discussions with regulators, auditors and external agencies on ERM-related matters.

Act as a trusted risk partner for cross-functional teams.

•      Provide timely risk advisory and support to internal customers across business and support functions.

•      Ensure prompt resolution of stakeholder queries related to enterprise risk processes.

•      Support business teams in understanding enterprise risk frameworks and governance requirements.

Promote a strong risk culture through regular stakeholder engagement.

•      Support implementation of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management framework.

•      Ensure enterprise risks are identified, assessed, monitored and reported effectively.

•      Monitor compliance with approved Risk Appetite limits and governance standards.

•      Assist in regulatory inspections, internal audits and closure of audit observations.

Maintain high standards of risk documentation and internal controls.

•      Mentor and guide junior team members.

•      Share best practices and technical knowledge across the ERM team.

•      Support capability building through training and coaching.

Foster collaboration and teamwork within the Risk Management function.

Education

• MBA (Finance)/PGDM, CA, CFA, FRM, PRM or Master’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics or related discipline.

Professional certification in Risk Management is preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Credit Risk, Operational Risk or Integrated Risk Management within Banking or Financial Services.
• Experience in enterprise risk assessments, Risk Appetite Framework, KRIs and governance reporting.
• Good understanding of RBI regulations, Basel Framework and enterprise risk governance.
• Experience in preparing presentations and risk reports for senior management and Board Committees.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
