Enterprise NOC Lead - Field Operations

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Enterprise NOC to manage and lead a Network Operations Center team responsible for monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Routers, Switches, OLTs, and ONTs, along with a good understanding of enterprise networking, GPON/FTTH technologies, incident management, and network monitoring. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring network availability, timely resolution of incidents, and effective coordination with internal teams, customers, and field engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Enterprise NOC team for 24x7 network monitoring and operations.
• Monitor network infrastructure, links, devices, and services using NMS/monitoring tools.
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of:
• Enterprise Routers
• Managed and Layer 2/Layer 3 Switches
• OLT (Optical Line Terminal)
• ONT/ONU (Optical Network Terminal/Unit)
• Troubleshoot network issues related to LAN, WAN, Internet, MPLS, GPON/FTTH, VLAN, and routing.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and static routing.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLAN, trunking, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel/LACP, DHCP, NAT, ACL, and IP addressing.

• Troubleshoot GPON-related issues including:
  
• OLT/ONT connectivity
• ONT registration and provisioning
• Optical power levels
• Fiber/link-related issues
• VLAN/service mapping
• LOS/LOF and other alarms
• Analyze network performance, link utilization, packet loss, latency, and interface errors.
• Handle L1/L2/L3 network incidents and ensure timely resolution as per defined SLA.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical network issues.
• Coordinate with field teams, ISP/carrier teams, OEMs, and other technical teams for issue resolution.
• Review and approve network configuration changes as per change-management procedures.
• Maintain network documentation, configuration backups, topology diagrams, and troubleshooting records.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate internal or OEM support teams.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly NOC reports, incident reports, and network performance reports.
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to SLA, KPI, and operational processes.
• Train and mentor NOC engineers on network troubleshooting and operational procedures.
• Participate in major incident management and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• 58+ years of experience in Network Operations/NOC.
• Minimum 23 years of team-lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong practical experience with Router, Switch, OLT, and ONT configuration and troubleshooting.

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
