Enterprise Architecture Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture roadmap (network, compute, storage, cloud, onprem, hybrid).
• Define standards, patterns, and frameworks for infrastructure design and implementation.
• Lead the architecture of data centers, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), virtualization, and containerization environments.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Provide governance and architectural oversight for major technology programs and infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
• Create high-level designs (HLDs), reference architectures, and technology blueprints.
• Ensure infrastructure architecture meets security, performance, availability, and compliance requirements.
• Partner with network, cloud, DevOps, and application teams to ensure cohesive end-toend architecture.
• Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, automation, and DevOps enablement.
• Assess technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support capacity planning, cost optimization, and lifecycle management across IT infrastructure components.

• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure: networks, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and security.
• Experience with cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep expertise in infrastructure automation, IaC (Terraform/ARM/CloudFormation), and CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) is preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead decision-making processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Typically 815 years in IT infrastructure, with at least 3–5 years in an architecture role.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
