Enterprise Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to design, establish, and run an Architecture Review Board (ARB) for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise/solution architecture, architecture governance, integration and data architecture, cloud and infrastructure architecture, and hands-on experience leading architecture review forums. This is a hands-on governance and leadership role involving the design of the ARB operating model, chairing architecture reviews, making architecture decisions, managing governance artifacts, and serving as the senior architecture point of contact for the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and establish the Architecture Review Board operating model, including review lifecycle, classification criteria, approval thresholds, decision rights, and RACI.
• Develop ARB intake forms, submission templates, assessment frameworks, and governance artifacts covering security, technology, vendor risk, privacy, and responsible AI.
• Define review SLAs, turnaround timelines, governance cadence, and workflow processes.
• Configure and document architecture governance workflows within client tools and platforms.
• Chair Architecture Review Board sessions and make decisions such as approve, approve with conditions, reject, or defer.
• Triage and classify incoming architecture submissions and manage the review lifecycle through closure.
• Work closely with project teams and solution architects to prepare and review architecture submission packs.
• Record architecture decisions, conditions, and exceptions and ensure timely closure.
• Conduct pre-go-live architecture checks to validate implementation against approved designs and ensure required sign-offs are completed.
• Own ARB reporting covering review volumes, turnaround times, open conditions, exceptions, and adoption.
• Conduct structured reviews for architecture issues identified during production or go-live.
• Prepare architecture communications, governance guidance, and recurring design recommendations for client stakeholders.
• Act as the primary architecture escalation point and maintain relationships with the Head of Enterprise Architecture and senior client stakeholders.
• Lead architecture teams and collaborate with client, vendor, platform, security, and engineering teams.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on or leading an Architecture Review Board, Design Authority, or equivalent architecture governance forum.
• Strong experience in architecture governance process design and implementation.
• Strong expertise in integration architecture and data architecture, including integration patterns, data classification, and criticality assessment.
• Strong cloud and infrastructure architecture experience, including target-state architecture and technology/vendor evaluation.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, governance, standards, and architecture decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including architecture, security, engineering, infrastructure, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to work with Gulf Standard Time (GST) overlap from India.
• Willingness to travel to client sites for 1-2 week assignments when required.
• Location: Bangalore only.

Good to Have:

• TOGAF certification.
• Strong Security Architecture experience, including participation in or ownership of Security Architecture Reviews.
• Experience with AI governance / Responsible AI assessments.
• UAE or wider GCC delivery experience.
• Experience in regulated or asset-heavy industries such as Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Energy, or Government.
• Consulting experience with client-facing architecture governance engagements.
• Experience working across client, vendor, and platform teams.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and enterprise technology evaluation.
