    Role Overview:

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to create and maintain current and target enterprise architecture views for Global Business Services, including Finance, Human Resources, Legal and Property, and for Global Information Services capabilities such as Cyber, Platforms and Delivery.

This role connects business strategy, technology direction and portfolio priorities into clear capability roadmaps, investment choices and architecture guidance. Success requires an enterprise-minded architect who can help business and technology stakeholders make informed decisions that support value delivery, risk reduction and sustainable change.

    What you'll do

    • Act as the Enterprise Architecture lead for Global Business Services and Global Information Services within the assigned scope.
    • Partner with business, technology, Solution Architecture and delivery stakeholders to define a shared architecture vision and roadmap.
    • Assure solution options against enterprise architecture principles, guardrails, commercial considerations and business outcomes before delivery.
    • Support annual and quarterly planning by aligning initiatives to agreed strategies, architecture direction, dependencies, risks and value priorities.
    • Maintain architecture governance, decision records, standards, repositories and tooling to enable transparent and consistent decisions.
    • Develop and maintain capability roadmaps, architecture models and decision artefacts that support portfolio prioritization and delivery choices.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of the Enterprise Architecture practice, including information quality, reusable artefacts, tools and ways of working.
    • Balance business value, cost, risk, complexity and sustainability when guiding technology decisions.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Enterprise Architecture experience across corporate functions such as Finance, HR and Legal, together with technology capabilities associated with Cyber, Cloud Platforms and Workspace.
    • Strong understanding of business applications, integration, data, controls, risk, compliance and technology operating models.
    • Ability to translate business strategy into technology strategy, capability roadmaps, architecture principles and portfolio guidance.
    • Experience with enterprise architecture repositories, models, roadmaps and decision artefacts to improve governance and decision-making.
    • Experience with enterprise architecture and modelling tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, Bizzdesign, ArchiMate or Sparx EA.
    • Ability to engage, influence, challenge and guide senior business, technology and delivery stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical, planning, facilitation, negotiation, communication and organizational skills.
    • Technology-neutral, outcome-focused judgement with the ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity and change.

    Highly Desirable

    • Knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate.
    • Understanding of SAFe, ITIL, FinOps and DevSecOps practices.
    • Awareness of Responsible AI principles, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001.
    • Knowledge of information security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001.
    • Experience across ERP, workflow, reporting, risk, audit, policy or integration-heavy application environments.

    What you'll need

We are seeking an enterprise-minded architect who can bridge business and technology conversations through clear, practical communication. The successful candidate will turn strategic direction into executable roadmaps, governed decisions and sustainable change.

They will influence senior stakeholders through credibility, facilitation and constructive challenge, while maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes, value delivery and risk reduction.

    Critical Success Factors

    • Clear architecture direction adopted by Finance, HR, Legal and GIS stakeholders.
    • Roadmaps and decision artefacts that support portfolio prioritisation and delivery choices.
    • Technology decisions aligned to business outcomes, value, risk and sustainability.
    • Governance that improves transparency, consistency and delivery confidence.
    • Strong stakeholder confidence in Enterprise Architecture recommendations and ongoing contribution to practice improvement.

    • Solution Architecture, Delivery Teams, Data, Security, Risk, Compliance and Strategic Platform Owners: architecture assurance, controls, integration, rationalisation and value realisation.

    A Day in the Life

    • Review priority Finance, HR, Legal and Compliance application initiatives, decisions, risks and stakeholder requests.
    • Engage business, GIS and delivery stakeholders to clarify outcomes, trade-offs, dependencies and roadmap priorities.
    • Test solution options against enterprise principles, guardrails, capability roadmaps and value expectations.
    • Update strategies, architecture models, decision records and governance artefacts to support portfolio planning.
    • Align next steps with stakeholders, architects and Enterprise Architecture practice leadership.
