English PU Lecturer

Presidency PU College, Hebbal, is looking for a qualified and passionate English Lecturer to teach PU I and PU II students. Candidates who can join immediately are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English to PU I and PU II students as per the Karnataka State PU Board syllabus.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Teach English literature, grammar, and communication skills effectively.
• Prepare students for board examinations through regular tests, revision sessions, and practice papers.
• Monitor students' academic progress and provide additional support where required.
• Maintain attendance records, academic reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Use interactive teaching methods to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Participate in academic meetings, departmental activities, and college events.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: MA in English; B.Ed. preferred.
• Relevant teaching experience in a PU College or higher secondary institution is desirable.
• Freshers with strong subject knowledge and communication skills may also apply.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Familiarity with the Karnataka State PU Board syllabus is preferred.
• Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
