Role Summary:
You will act as the bridge between development teams and stakeholders, providing technical guidance, mentoring team members, and driving innovation. Your role will include designing and implementing software architectures, managing development lifecycles, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
You will also collaborate cross-functionally to identify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and align technical strategies with business objectives. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and expertise in relevant technologies are essential to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a critical role in shaping the product & technical vision for the team while working closely with product and business leaders across the company.
- Be an authority on the architecture and design for the teams work. Contribute to design and code reviews.
- Build, lead, develop and coach teams of top technical talent; plan staffing and recruitment decisions.
- Define, implement and refine processes to make your team more effective.
- Nurture a culture of innovation and experimentation.
- Plan the delivery pace to balance high-growth urgencies while avoiding burnout.
- Ownership of the end-to-end customer experience for your team s products.
Qualification and Experience
- Education: Bachelors/Master s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- Experience: 10 years of core software product development experience, designing and building web applications.
Key Skills:
- Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Experience designing architecture and making tech stack decisions for systems operating at high scale and low latency.
- Understanding of at least one backend language in depth, e.g. Java, Python, Go, Node JS.
- Experience managing/mentoring a small-to-medium team.
- Experience leading small- to medium-scale projects end-to-end on your own.
- Passion for building a data-driven culture, growing talent, and a hunger to make a big impact.
