Engineering Manager

Requirements:

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years directly managing engineers.
• Strong backend fundamentals, including distributed systems, API and event-driven design, data modeling, idempotency, caching, and observability.
• Experience owning high-traffic services and handling related production incidents.
• Proven experience shipping and operating LLM systems in production, including retrieval, tool calling, orchestration, guardrails, evaluations, fallback behavior, and managing latency and cost budgets.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to prototype, review designs and code, and build an agent or evaluation harness when needed.
• Daily fluency with agentic coding tools and sound judgment about where they add value and where they create review debt.
• Strong judgment about when an agent should act autonomously, when it should request confirmation, and when it must hand off to a human.
