Engineering Manager

Job purpose The incumbent is responsible for assisting in quality control checks / audits at assigned sites for structural work in order to comply with Lodhas quality management standards. The incumbent will also assist in ensuring that correct construction practices are being followed at assigned Lodha sites



Process contributions Key Responsibilities Key Performance Indicators 1. Quality Assurance :
a. Assist Cluster Quality Manager (L3) in carrying out Quality checks that the implementation of correct construction practices for all structural works are in compliance with approved Method Statements, ITPs, Drawings, Specifications.
b. Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time. Timeliness and Accuracy
Adherence to QMS standards 2. Quality Control :
a. Carryout QC Inspections (in consultation with Cluster Quality Manager - L3) at defined stage as per approved ITPs, Drawings, Specifications for all structural works.
b. Carryout checking of all materials delivered at site and compliance with standard specifications.
c. Conduct necessary primary tests for the materials delivered at site for acceptance such as Silt content test, aggregates gradation, Steel reinforcement margin, bent re-bend test, masonry units, tiles, finishing items etc.
d. Check the instruments / gauges both internal and contractors are calibrated prior to use at site.
e. Assist Cluster Quality Manager (L3) in carrying out inspections for formwork, concrete pre -concrete checks, including checking the xyz coordinates, levels, plumb, and Compliances with specifications for shuttering and reinforcement works.
f. Carry out random Checks to ensure that the concrete supplied is compliant with approved mix design.
g. Witness the concrete cube testing at contractor s laboratory on site on regular basis.
h. Ensure that the correct number of test cubes are cast and properly numbered so as they are tested on the correct dates and are identified for traceability.
i. Maintain records and update the quality system documentation and quality records.
j. Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
k. Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
l. Review Work Method Statement, Material to be used for work
m. Perform Quality checks for MEP installations

3. Outsourcing :
a. Ensure that the correct numbers of samples are sent for 3rd party test to approved labs.
b. Random Check at 3rd party approved labs, where the samples have been sent for testing.
c. Verify the cube test results, as they are received from the lab and issue work permit for deshuttering. Adherence to QMS standards
