Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineering Lead (Cloud & SaaS) role based in Bhubaneswar. The Engineering Lead will oversee the design, development, and operation of cloud-native and SaaS components of the ZenX platform, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and performance. Responsibilities include leading an engineering team, defining technical architecture, reviewing code, and guiding best practices in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps. The role involves close collaboration with product management, data, and sustainability domain experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality features on schedule. The Engineering Lead will also be accountable for monitoring production systems, optimizing costs, managing incident response, and continuously improving engineering processes and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP; containerization with Docker/Kubernetes; infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Candidates should possess advanced software engineering and architecture skills (e.g., designing and building distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, SaaS multi-tenant architectures).
• Candidates should possess solid experience in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, or similar; familiarity with web frameworks and API development).
• Candidates should possess CI/CD and DevOps skills (e.g., Git-based workflows, automated testing, build pipelines, monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK).
• Candidates should possess leadership and collaboration skills (e.g., leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, driving technical decisions, and working cross-functionally with product and business stakeholders).
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business and data requirements into practical technical solutions.
