Engineer - Transformer Testing

Job Description

We are looking for Electrical Engineers with experience in Transformer Testing to join our Quality Assurance team. The selected candidates will be responsible for conducting testing activities, handling customer inspections, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle routine and customer inspection activities for transformers up to 31.5 MVA, 72.5 kV class.
• Study customer requirements and prepare test plans.
• Provide technical clarifications to customers.
• Maintain testing and quality-related technical documentation.
• Prepare, review, and issue test reports.
• Conduct technical training sessions for shop floor personnel and staff.
• Ensure safety of personnel and equipment during testing operations.
• Prepare, circulate, and present MIS reports.
• Support operations of transformer testing laboratory activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of routine, type, and special tests on power transformers.
• Understanding of national and international transformer testing standards.
• Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, QAPs, and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of transformer design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in impulse testing will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
