Engineer - Tool Development

Role & responsibilities

• New mould development projects from RFQ to production handover.
• Review product designs for manufacturability (DFM) and provide tooling recommendations.
• Prepare mould concepts, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers during tool development.
• Review mould designs and give recommendations
• Monitor & follow up with supplier for mould manufacturing.
• Track project milestones and ensure on time mould delivery.
• Plan and execute mould trials validation activities.
• Analyze trial results and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct Tool Audit at Moulding supplier location
• Monitor Preventive Maintenance of moulds. Give technical assistance to supplier
• Maintain mould development records, trial reports and technical documentation

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 7 years of experience in injection mould development, Mould manufacturing, or plastic product manufacturing.
• He/She should know the mould manufacturing process flow, plastic material, Engineering drawing reading knowledge , mould maintenance .
