Engineer - Sr. Engineer - Parts Costing

We have an urgent opening for Engineer / Sr. Engineer Parts Costing with an MNC in Auto Components Manufacturing.

The candidate should have good knowledge of auto component manufacturing processes, new product costing, cost modelling, VAVE, zero-based costing, and supplier quotation validation.

Role & responsibilities :

• Cost Modelling: Build bottom-up cost models for auto parts like sheet metal, castings, forgings, and Fabrication Parts.
• Good Knowledge of New Product (Parts) for material, Process and final cost calculation.
• Cost Breakdown Analysis: Estimate expenses for raw materials, manufacturing processes, direct labour, factory overhead, tooling, and logistics.
• Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE): Identify cost-saving opportunities and design optimization ideas during product development.
• Supplier Quotation Validation: Review and negotiate supplier pricing using deep manufacturing knowledge and cost benchmarks

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelors degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering with 2-4 years experience in Auto components mfg.
• Strong grip on manufacturing processes (machining, pressing, Fabrication &, casting).
• Practical knowledge of VAVE, zero-based costing (ZBC), and market price benchmarking.
• Familiarity with quality standards like IATF 16949
