Engineer / Senior Engineer - Vehicle Architect or Integrator (Telehandler)
Department: New Product Development - Vehicle Integration
Reporting To: Lead / Manager - R&D
Job Purpose
To execute the vehicle architecture layout, skeleton preparation, design, mechanical integration,
structural validation, and continuous improvement of Telehandler systems, ensuring mechanical
compatibility, operator safety, functional performance, cost targets, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead machine skeleton preparation and vehicle architecture layout, defining packaging
zones, weight distribution, center of gravity (CG), frame geometry, and clearance for
chassis and boom interface.
Hands-on ownership of Telehandler mechanical system integration, including structural
mounting, mechanical linkages, operator cab interface, and component layout.
Integration of boom geometry, attachments (forks, buckets, platforms), mechanical load
paths, and safety lockouts.
Assist in overall machine packaging and system layout finalization, considering hydraulic
line routing, power distribution, thermal clearance, and space optimization.
Execute functional DVP (Design Verification Plan) testing, including physical machine
stability, rated capacity chart validation, and mechanical endurance tests.
Support proto build, pilot build, and shop-floor issue resolution for chassis skeleton,
frame assemblies, and mechanical interfaces.
Contribute to machine performance tuning, weight optimization, component localization,
and mechanical failure analysis.
Coordinate cross-functional activities between design, manufacturing, quality, and testing
teams.
Maintain technical documentation, including assembly drawings, DFMEA, DVP test
reports, and ECN/ECR documentation using Teamcenter PL
