Engineer/Senior Engineer - Attachments

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop components and attachments for construction equipment.

• Carry out assembly, mechanism and machine-integration design.

• Prepare 3D models, detailing and engineering drawings.

• Create, maintain and manage BOMs.

• Handle ECNs related to design, drawings, BOMs and specifications.

• Perform engineering calculations and support design reviews.

• Prepare NPD, design validation, testing and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with CAE, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase and suppliers.

• Participate in prototype fabrication, assembly and machine fitment.

• Support prototype testing and design validation.

• Identify design issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement design improvements.

• Support field issue investigation, CAPA and product improvement activities

. • Support the complete product development cycle from concept through production release.

• Contribute to value engineering, cost reduction and product improvement initiatives.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Machine Drawing and Engineering Drawing.

• Good knowledge of GD&T.;

• Good understanding of Strength of Materials.

• Strong fundamentals in Machine Design.

• Understanding of Manufacturing and Fabrication Processes.

• Knowledge of Material Selection and Welding Processes.

• Understanding of Product Development and Design Validation.

• Strong problem-solving and engineering analytical skills.

• Experience in construction equipment / heavy equipment / attachment design will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Construction equipment / heavy equipment.

• Excavator, Backhoe Loader, Loader, Telehandler or similar equipment.

• Attachment and component design.

• NPD / Product Development.

• Prototype development and validation.

• Machine integration.

• Engineering drawing and detailing.

• ECN / BOM management.

Other Requirements

• Language: English and Tamil.

• Occasional travel, as required by the role.

• Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Important: Candidates should be willing to relocate to Coimbatore for this position.
