Experience: 5 years of experience of actual site handling along with purchase activity

Qualification: B.E. in Civil Engineering

Job Description:

Procurement & Purchase

Handle end-to-end procurement of civil materials and civil services.

• Float enquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements
• Negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules and other contractual terms
• Finalize vendors and issue purchase orders as well as purchase contracts

Technical Understanding (Core Requirement)

• Study and interpret civil drawings, BOQs, and specifications
• Verify BOQ's from drawings
• rate analysis and cost estimation
• Identify overdesign / excess quantities and suggest optimization

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain a strong vendor base
• Evaluate vendor performance (quality, delivery, pricing)
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely dispatch and issue resolution
• Handling vendor grievances and payment

Cost Control & Analysis

• Track project costs vs budget
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain price database for key materials and services

Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with site/project team for material/services requirements
• Ensure timely availability of materials at site

Documentation & MIS

• Maintain purchase records, comparative statements, and approvals
• Generate MIS reports (cost, savings, vendor performance)
• Support audit and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

B.E. in Civil Engineering
5+ years experience (site + procurement exposure preferred)

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of BOQ, drawings, and material specifications
• Hands-on experience in vendor negotiation
• Good knowledge of construction materials and market rates
• Strong Excel skills (comparatives, cost tracking)
• Analytical mindset (not just follow-up work)
• Good verbal as well as written communication skills
• Should be familiar with ERP system
