Engineer Plant Maintenance

Job Description-

Responsible for day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance activities within the production facility, with primary responsibility for coordinating shift

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise shift-wise maintenance technicians.
• Allocate daily maintenance activities and monitor execution across shifts. • Review technician performance, maintenance logs and shift handover reports. • Ensure proper communication and handover of pending maintenance issues between shifts. • Escalate critical issues, manpower constraints and recurring failures to the Plant Maintenance Manager.

• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and repetitive breakdowns.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed as per approved schedules. • Monitor PM compliance and close pending maintenance activities. • Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance activities. • Identify equipment requiring additional inspection or corrective action.
• Electrical Maintenance • Support maintenance of LT panels, MCC/PCC/DBs, motors, VFDs, drives, UPS and electrical distribution systems. • Support electrical troubleshooting of production equipment and testing systems. • Ensure maintenance of earthing, lighting and electrical safety systems.
• Mechanical Maintenance • Support maintenance of production and assembly equipment, conveyors and material- handling systems. • Support pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. • Ensure proper lubrication, alignment and replacement of critical components.
• Support compressors, HVAC, pumps, DG/power backup and other plant utilities. • Coordinate utility breakdown response and ensure availability of critical utilities. • Support fire-fighting and plant infrastructure maintenance.
• Maintain
• Track MTBF, MTTR, downtime, PM compliance and machine availability.
• Prepare weekly/monthly maintenance reports for the Plant Maintenance Manager. • Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and

Requirements

• Required Experience & Skills • 46 years of accountability, collaboration, problem-solving experience in plant maintenance in a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. • Experience coordinating maintenance technicians in a multi- shift plant. • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical panels, motors, drives/VFDs and production equipment. • Working knowledge of conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics. • Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance. • Working knowledge of RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, MTBF and MTTR.
• Good maintenance reporting and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of LOTO and industrial maintenance safety practices. • Good coordination skills with Production, SCM/Stores, EHS and external vendors.
