Engineer, Geotech, REC

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Carrying out the Geotechnical design major infrastructure structures based on Eurocodes and other international standards including Pile foundations, shallow foundations, retaining structures, temporary works design.
• Interpretations of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and use of appropriate geotechnical design parameters.
• Ground improvement proposal.
• Soil structural Interaction Analysis, Modelling and Validation.
• Slope stability analysis and Support system design.
• Ground movement, Settlement Prediction and risk assessments for Urban structures.
• Instrumentation and Monitoring scheme proposals.
• Design of Sheet piles, Soldier pile walls, Secant pile and other retaining system.
• Performing numerical Modelling, troubleshooting modelling errors, interpret analysis results, and assessing predicted soil and structural behaviour using sound geotechnical engineering judgement.
• Communication & coordination with other colleagues in the wider Geo-structures group for the seamless delivery of designs

• B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and M.E./ M.Tech. degree in Geotechnical Engineering, preferably from IITs/NITs.
• Should have minimum 3 years of experience in geotechnical design for major infrastructure projects, preferably using Eurocodes or other international design standards.
• Experience working on projects in the Nordic region, particularly Sweden, would be an added advantage.
• Experience in European projects/ European/international consultants would be beneficial.
• Proficiency in PLAXIS 2D and GeoStudio SLOPE/W is required. Familiarity with GeoSuite SETTLE, WALLAP, PLAXIS 3D, and Conrad would be an added advantage.
• Strong professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrates a strong sense of shared responsibility, actively shares knowledge, contributes to effective workload distribution and collaborates across teams operating in different geographical locations.

Skills Required:

• Mandatory- M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering + 3 years of experience, PLAXIS 2D, GeoStudio SLOPE/W, strong English verbal and written communication
• Desirable- Nordic region experience -Sweden, GeoSuite SETTLE, WALLAP, PLAXIS 3D, Conrad
