The role evaluates and prioritizes risks, defines preventive and detection controls, and drives effective mitigation actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring robust, reliable, and safe cell design while incorporating design validation results, lessons learned, and customer requirements into the FMEA.

This role reports to the Lead - Cell Validation.

    Role & responsibilities

    1. FMEA Development & Maintenance

    • FMEA Ownership: Develop and maintain FMEA for prismatic cell design, strengthening process controls and defining process capability requirements.
    • Failure Mode Identification: Identify electrical, mechanical, thermal, chemical, and safety-related failure modes across the cell design lifecycle.
    • Continuous Update: Incorporate design validation results, lessons learned, and customer requirements into the FMEA on an ongoing basis.

    2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation

    • Risk Evaluation: Evaluate and prioritize risks based on severity, occurrence, and detectability.
    • Control Definition: Define preventive and detection controls to mitigate identified failure modes.
    • Mitigation Tracking: Drive effective mitigation actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, tracking actions to closure.

    3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with Cell Design, R&D, Testing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to align FMEA outputs with design and process requirements.
    • Validation Support: Support validation activities, root-cause analysis, and design improvement initiatives arising from FMEA findings.
