Engineer Electronics Validation

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure products meet defined performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory requirements through systematic electronics validation, EMC/EMI testing, and product certification while assisting in the design and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electronics Validation & Testing

• Develop and execute validation plans, test procedures, and reports for consumer electronic products.
• Perform functional, electrical, and performance validation, including design verification against product specifications.
• Troubleshoot hardware failures and maintain validation records and technical documentation.

2. EMC/EMI Testing & Compliance

• Conduct EMC-EMI testing internally & through external testing agencies.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and support corrective actions and design improvements related to PCB layout, grounding, shielding, and filtering.

3. Product Certification & Safety Compliance

• Support product certification, including preparation of test samples and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable BIS/ISI, IEC, electrical safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with certification agencies and testing laboratories, tracking compliance issues and corrective actions through closure.

4. Reliability & Failure Analysis

• Support reliability and environmental testing, including temperature, humidity, and endurance tests.
• Conduct failure analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with design, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

5. Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate with design, firmware, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to resolve validation issues.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BE/Btech in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics / E&C / E&TC / E&I

Work Experience: 2-5 years

PREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

• Knowledge of RCA and problems solving tools and techniques.
• Industry Preference: Appliances, Consumer Goods, Home Automation, Lighting, Healthcare, Automobile

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

Technical skills:

• Experience in EMC/EMI testing, including emissions and immunity.
• Experience in IEC/IS electrical safety standards and product certification requirements.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic measurement instruments, such as oscilloscopes, multimeter, and power analysers.
• Ability to interpret test reports, identify non-compliances, and support troubleshooting.
• Good documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Electronic Change note

Process skills:

• Understanding of structured problem-solving and decision-making
• Validation planning & setup, Test methodologies, RCA & CAPA, Test documentation & traceability, RCA tools and techniques for design, field failures investigation are desired
• Basic understanding of IP process is desirable Software skills:
• Validation tools, test & report automation, data analysis tools, EMC-EMI test software.
