Engineer - Electrical & Wiring Harness

Responsibilities

1. Define the 48 V / 12 V architecture: 35 mm battery-to-controller cables, DC-DC converter input, 12 V main supply, 200 A main fuse, contactor and motor controller harness.
2. Size wires, fuses and relays; lay out the fuse box and connector families.
3. Route the harness in 3D with clip, grommet and bend-radius rules, separating 48 V and 12 V runs.
4. Prepare wiring schematics, 2D harness drawings, connector pin-outs and fuse/relay schedules.
5. Integrate lighting, horn, HMI, telematics and switches; support vehicle power-up and integration checks.

Skills and Tools

• Low-voltage EV (48 V) architecture; wire and fuse sizing; connector selection; harness manufacturing rules.
• 3D harness routing
• CAD tools: CATIA V5 EHI, Siemens Capital, Zuken E3, AutoCAD Electrical
• EV harness experience (2W/3W/4W)

Requirements

• Experience: 5-8 years in automotive / EV wiring harness and low-voltage architecture

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering
