About this role
Role Overview :
Quadrasystems is building its Data Analytics capability within the AWS SBU. As an
Engineer - Data Analytics, you will design, build, and operationalise data pipelines,
analytics architectures, and reporting platforms on AWS for enterprise clients. You will
work across structured and unstructured datasets, delivering actionable intelligence that
drives measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using AWS Glue, AWS Data
Migration Service (DMS), and Amazon Kinesis for batch and streaming workloads.
- Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses on Amazon S3, AWS Lake
Formation, and Amazon Redshift.
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows using Apache Spark (via AWS Glue or Amazon EMR),
dbt, and SQL-based transformations.
- Create analytics dashboards and self-service BI reports using Amazon QuickSight,
integrating with data sources across Redshift, Athena, and RDS.
- Query and analyse large-scale datasets using Amazon Athena and Presto on
federated data sources.
- Implement data quality, cataloguing, and governance using AWS Glue Data
Catalog and AWS Lake Formation permissions.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to prepare feature datasets for model training
pipelines on Amazon SageMaker.
- Monitor and optimise pipeline performance, cost, and reliability on AWS using
CloudWatch, Cost Explorer, and Trusted Advisor.
- Participate in client engagements - translating business requirements into
technical data architectures.

- Amazon QuickSight, Amazon RDS / Aurora
Underlying Technologies (Broadly Applicable) :
- SQL (advanced) - window functions, CTEs, query optimisation
- Python or Scala for data transformation scripting
- Apache Spark, Apache Kafka (conceptual understanding for migration to
Kinesis/MSK)
- dbt (Data Build Tool) for transformation layer
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
- Data modelling - dimensional, star/snowflake schema, Data Vault concepts
- Git-based version control and CI/CD for data pipelines
Good to Have :
- AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect -
Associate
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi table formats
- Exposure to real-time analytics and event-driven architectures
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data
Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, or a closely related
technical role
- Demonstrated experience delivering data pipelines or analytics platforms in cloud
environments (AWS preferred)
