Engineer - Assembly

Job Purpose :

Exposure and knowledge on Assembly / sub-assy experience in auto mobile Gear Boxes. Good knowledge in Assy Output & OEE exposure. Must be familiar with SAP / MS office.

Improving the OEE of the Assy. Support to Productivity improvement. Adherence to ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 system requirements. Implementation of 5S/TPM pillars in the Assy. Executing continuous improvement projects and Tracker manangement. Handling & providing corrective / prevention actions of Assy Non-conformity and customer complaints due to Assembly processes

Role & responsibilities

OEE-Assy

• Alert on running Assy machines without Loss of Production / downtime. Taking permanent corrective actions on Assy issues.

Operating Efficiency / Opex Monitoring & control

• Take actions to improve the Assy Operator efficiency by training /Supervise to ensuring availability of Materials.
• Opex to be monitored and control measures to be worked out to ensure optimized spent
• PR creations for Assembly consumables and stock monitoring to ensure smooth function of production lines

System adherence

• Adhering to the ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 system requirements.
• Maintaining documents related to ISO
• Maintaining Tracker history for Assy issues / Bad line outs.
• Ensuring aging of job orders as per target to meet OTD performance of plant

TPM / Process audit

• Implementation of TPM activities JH and PM pillars and work closely with production team to achieve the results
• Maintaining high standard in process to ensure process audits criteria are met

FTQ (First time quality) and Bad Outline

Control of Non-confirming Assy / Rework / Rejections by implementing POKAYOKA

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates from the gearbox or engineering industries are preferred.
• Candidates from reputed institutions with a strong technical background.
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in assembly operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in assembly processes, preferably in gearbox or engineering products.
• Must be willing to work in rotational shifts.
