DevOps with Java development | Integration Center of Excellence (ICOE)

The Integration Center of Excellence (ICOE) is seeking a highly motivated Engineer 2 - DevOps / Platform Engineer with Kafka & Cloud Operations with Java Developer Experience to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions and event-driven applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies, along with a strong sense of ownership for production systems and operational excellence.

DevOps with Java development | Integration Center of Excellence (ICOE)

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies, along with a strong sense of ownership for production systems and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs following enterprise integration standards.
- Build and support event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Implement reusable frameworks, libraries, and integration patterns.
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on application modernization initiatives.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
- Participate in application deployment activities across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Support cloud-native applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
- Work with container orchestration platforms and service mesh technologies.
- Monitor platform health, application performance, and deployment success metrics.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, middleware, security, and application teams to resolve platform issues.
- Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot application and Kafka issues, perform RCA and corrective actions, monitor system health, and drive initiatives that improve reliability, stability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integration solutions, support Agile practices, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
- Programming & Frameworks: Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture,
- Messaging & Integration, Apache Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka Producers & Consumers, Schema Management (Avro/JSON),
- DevOps & CI/CD Jenkins, GitHub / GitLab / Azure DevOps, Maven / Gradle, CI/CD Pipeline Development Release Management
- Containerization & Cloud Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS / Azure / GCP
- Databases SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake (Preferred)
- Monitoring & Observability Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, Splunk (Preferred)
- Experience with ArgoCD/GitOps, messaging technologies (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS), and hybrid cloud integration environments.
- Familiarity with retail or supply chain domains, security scanning tools, and modernization initiatives involving Kafka, Spring Boot, and Java platforms.
- Demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in production support environments.
